Head Office Payroll Administrator - £13,000

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be given full support to learn a fundamental skill within a very busy head office function.

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your duties will include;

  • General administration for the payroll services to over 4,000 employees within the group
  • Using a windows based payroll system “Payrite”
  • Collecting data and information for new starters
  • Entering and maintaining details on the payroll system for new starters, leavers and changes to employee details
  • Processing P45 and P46 forms
  • Processing absence records to ensure the correct calculation of SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP
  • Entering details for staff commissions and overtime payments
  • Dealing with any pay related queries from staff over the telephone, email and written correspondence
  • Responding to any reference requests
  • Working to strict deadlines in order to meet payroll deadlines
The ideal candidate will;

  • Possess good numeracy skills
  • Have a basic understanding of Tax and NI calculations
  • Good Word, Excel and computer skills
  • Be confident in speaking to employees on the telephone regarding any payroll queries
Any previous Payroll administration experience would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.

Standard hours of work are 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
